Booking Policy
Payment Policy
- We accept cash however payment by internet or direct credit transfer is preferred. When making and electronic transfer, please ensure that your surname is included in the transaction particulars field.
- A bond may apply over public holiday weekends and longer stays
- Cheques are accepted only if funds can be cleared in advance of occupancy.
- Credit card payment not available at this time but we hope to offer this in the future.
- A deposit of up to 25% will be required to confirm booking
The balance is payable prior to occupancy.
Cancellation Policy
As a single dwelling and small operation, cancellations are significant.
- Cancellation within 30 days of arrival date - 50% forfeit of the total booking price
- Cancellation within 7 days of arrival date - 100% forfeit of the total booking price
Notwithstanding the above cancellation policy, it is solely at the discretion of the owners to consider, in special circumstances, a variation of the above.

- Check In 2pm
- Check Out 10am
- These times can be amended by prior arrangement
Please note:
- Kakanui Beach Retreat is a non-smoking property
- No pets
- No tents are allowed to be put on lawns at this property
- All facilities at the property including bedding, laundry, cooking and bathroomn are for the sole use of registered guests.
